At Lemire Precision, employee wellbeing is a priority. Maintenance of clean conditions is mandatory at all times and the plant is air conditioned. Alternating day, evening and night shifts, each operator can benefit from senior employees' knowledge and competence. The company welcomes new ideas and takes all employee suggestions into consideration for possible improvements. With over 60 employees, knowledge is shared daily and flexible schedules allow everyone to reconcile work and family.

Benefits & special programs

Lemire Precision employees receive various benefits, including a competitive group insurance plan and an annual allowance for work clothing and shoes. The company contributes to a Voluntary Retirement Savings Plan (VRSP), and parents of newborn children also receive special assistance. During the first year of employment, a new operator has four evaluation meetings with wage progression followed by annual evaluations thereafter.

Development training

Lemire Precision is part of the Programme d’apprentissage en milieu de travail (PAMT), an Emploi- Quebec initiative for experienced workers based on the principle of mentoring and part of the Red Seal Program. This training, adapted to employee needs, allows them to acquire skills while working. This formula also builds a skilled workforce and encourages knowledge transfer from experienced workers to their younger counterparts.
